Latin Name: Thymus vulgaris

A few words: It is a perennial and evergreen shrub with aromatic and medicinal properties, It blooms twice a year, with the first flowering in May and the second in September. It is a plant that grows naturally in our country, as a result of which it is adapted to the dry and hot summer and the wet - cool winters. It is used in cooking due to the essential oils contained in the leaves and flowers. 

Light: Prefers sunny places, but can grow in semi-shady or shady places.

Water: It is quite drought resistant, so it can be grown even dry, while little irrigation is required when the plant is in its infancy.

Temperature: Withstands both low and very high temperatures, but the optimum temperatures range from 16-22 ℃.

Fertilization: It does not have particularly high fertilization needs, but a small addition of organic fertilizers improves plant growth.
