Begonia - elatior Hybrids in a flowerpot 17 cm

A few words: Although begonia is considered a relatively delicate plant, it is very popular thanks to its unique beauty and rich flowering that begins in May and lasts until October. It stands out for its glossy oval leaves, as well as for its special flowers. 

Light:   They prefer semi-shady planting locations, in a place that does not receive direct sunlight, in order to avoid burns on the foliage and its flowers.

Water: Water  the begonias often, in small quantities in the spring season and the hot summer season. In winter we limit the water a lot.

Temperature : Begonia is sensitive to extreme cold, so we do not want it to come in contact with cold and hot air currents, as well as high summer temperatures.

Fertilization:  Also, begonia has low nutrient requirements and we should be aware that excessive fertilization can cause severe burns on its leaves. We choose a special fertilizer for acid leaf plants.

Last tip - prompt: The begonias do not need frequent transplanting, as they have a relatively limited root system. This is the reason why they prefer small pots for their growth.
