Product description
Latin name: Musa acuminata Colla
A few words: it is a wild type of banana that is best known for coming from the vast majority of cultivated bananas.
Light: The banana can be grown in pots, especially in the southern regions of our country, placing it in a sunny place on our balcony or terrace and protecting it from the wind and frost.
Water: Bananas need frequent watering, definitely every other day, especially during the summer months. In winter, the frequency of watering the banana should be twice a week.
Temperature: It thrives in warm areas of southern Greece. Also suitable for coastal plantings.
Fertilization: Add fertilizer every 2 weeks, in small amounts after watering. We prefer complete organic fertilizer for fruit trees, while in the period of fruiting of bananas, additional fertilization with organic potassium fertilizer is required to give us tastier fruits.
Last tip-prompt: When planting the banana, we support it with a wooden pole for better fastening of the trunk to the pot.
