Product description
Latin name: Echinocactus Grusonii
A few words:Echinocactus Grusonii is a low-growing cactus with golden-coloured spines in the form of hooks. The stem is dark green. The flowers are yellow in colour and appear in the form of a ring once a year on the upper part of the stem.
Light: prefers sunny planting positions.
Water:Cacti need very good drainage and therefore it is good to use a special cactus substrate when transplanting. It is advisable to repeat the watering every time the substrate dries. We usually water it very well and then let it dry.
Temperature: in general most cacti can withstand temperatures even below freezing.Several times low temperatures are responsible for a rich spring flowering as they contribute to the differentiation of the buds from shoots to flowers. Clearly there are exceptions that require protection from the low winter temperatures. In these cases it is advisable to use anti-freezing fabric or to move them to sheltered places when possible.
Fertilization:We usually use liquid water-soluble fertilizer for cacti from early January until autumn.
One last tip:Cacti usually suffer from rotting due to overwatering, especially in autumn and winter, so be careful with the substrate you use.
