Product description
Latin name: Monadenium stapelioides
A few words:Monadenium stapelioides is a perennial succulent belonging to the botanical family Euphorbiaceae. The plant forms clumps and can reach a diameter of up to 60 cm. The numerous shoots are cylindrical, dark green, thick, upright or lying on the ground and can reach a height of up to 40 cm.Flowering takes place from early spring to early summer. It is an easy plant to grow but is very slow in growth
Light: has high light requirements. It can also be placed in a place with direct sun exposure, but we must be careful during the hot summer months to avoid burns.
Water: they need very good drainage and therefore it is good to use a special substrate for cacti when transplanting. It is advisable to repeat the watering every time the substrate dries. We usually water it very well and then wait for it to dry. During the winter we water very sparingly in order to allow the plant to go into dormancy.
Temperature:The minimum temperatures the plant can tolerate is 15° C. Below this temperature it starts to suffer, so it should be placed indoors during the coldest periods.
Fertilisation: fertilisation starts in spring and is completed in autumn. Water-soluble balanced fertilizers accelerate the growth and flower development on a monthly basis.
