Latin name: Vriesea Splendens

A few words: The impressive Vriesia is an indoor plant. It belongs to the Bromeliads family, a large family of tropical plants with special characteristics, it is an epiphytic species which means that in its natural environment it grows on larger plants and not in the soil. The flower, in essence, are leaves with red, orange, or even crimson shades which can be maintained for about half a year.

Light: Briezia grows ideally in a bright place and especially in an environment with a lot of humidity and heat.

Water: Vriesia is a plant that wants plenty of water in summer, we also cool it by spraying its leaves. In winter we reduce the watering. In addition we pour water in the center of the plant, ie in the rosette.

Temperature: Vriesia is a plant that does not like temperatures below 18 οC.

Fertilization: From March to August you will need ideally liquid organic fertilizer every 15-20 days.

Last tip-tip: To multiply it, we will uproot the branches that grow at the base of the plant in April, always using indoor soil or peat
