Kumquat -citrus japonica in a flowerpot 15 cm

Latin name: Citrus japonica

A few words : Kumquat is an evergreen plant that belongs to the citrus, with slow growth, can be grown in our garden and reach a height of 3-4 meters. Kumquat is an ideal tree for planting in pots. Kumquat blooms in mid-summer with beautiful white fragrant flowers and gives us orange or orange-yellow fruits that ripen in January - February and look like elongated tiny oranges. 

Light: Prefers sunny planting locations protected from winds.

 Water:  Needs consistent irrigation, especially during the summer months.

Temperature : Citrus fruits do not have the ability to adapt and harden at low temperatures and therefore die at sub-zero temperatures. 

Lubrication : Requires consistent lubrication in many small doses.

Last tip - prompt : Pruned lightly in early spring. Prefers light, deep, fertile soil with good drainage.
