Orchid Cymbidium in a pot 15 cm

Latin name: Cymbidium sp.

A few words: the Sibidium orchid is an exotic plant originating from the tropical and subtropical countries of Asia. It is one of the most popular and widespread orchid species because of its stately beauty and its particular hardiness. This orchid thrives in our country because the climate favours it and so without many requirements it successfully decorates both indoors and outdoors. It impresses us with its beautiful flowers which are available in an endless variety of colours.  Equally impressive is the fact that they have a long shelf life and we can enjoy them from one to five months.

Light: The Sibidium orchid prefers a bright position with little direct sun in the morning or afternoon.

Water: you need to dry the soil between waterings.

Temperature: the low winter temperatures of up to 5 degrees Celsius do not cause any particular problems. However, it will not survive in lower temperatures so it is best to move it indoors.

Fertilization: it has no special fertilization requirements.During the orchid's germination period, fertilize every 2 weeks with a balanced fertilizer specific for orchids. 

One last tip: It is important to plant them in places protected from winds and especially from north winds.
