Latin name:  Rhamnus alaternus 

A few words:  It is an evergreen, upright shrub or small tree, of the Rhamnaceae family, up to 5 meters tall, with bare twigs, without thorns and stems with reddish bark. Its leaves are alternate, ovate to elliptical. The flowers are small and yellowish and flowering is observed in March - April.  

Light:  The shrub grows in sunny to semi-shady planting locations

Water:   As long as the plant is small it requires a normal frequency of irrigation, while a large plant can survive without frequent watering.

Temperature:  It has excellent resistance to cold

Fertilization:  No special fertilization scams. Release holiday fertilizer is recommended from the end of winter.
