Product description
Latin name: euphorbia lactea cristata
A few words: Euphorbia, lactea cristata is a beautiful cactus succulent bearing characteristic wavy green stems with yellowish, pink or violet spots. As small inconspicuous, greenish flowers appear near thorns throughout the year.
Light: They prefer sunny places throughout the day so it is advisable to place them outdoors.
Water:Cacti need very good drainage and therefore it is advisable to use a special substrate for cacti when transplanting. Watering should be repeated every time the substrate dries. We usually water very well and then wait for it to dry.
Temperature: In general, most cacti withstand temperatures even in the single digits.Several times low temperatures are responsible for a rich spring flowering as they contribute to the differentiation of buds from blastophores to flowerers. Clearly, there are exceptions that require protection from low winter temperatures. In these cases it is advisable to use frost resistant fabric or to transfer them to covered places when possible. In Opuntia species the temperature should not fall below 10 °C so it is advisable during the winter months if it is not possible to place them indoors, protected from the cold
Lubrication:They do not require frequent lubrication. In general, once or twice a year is enough. Use a suitable water-soluble fertilizer for cacti.
Last tip-exhortation: Cacti usually suffer from rotting due to excessive watering, especially in autumn and winter. So pay attention to the substrate we use and the frequency of watering. We must always adapt to the prevailing circumstances.
